LATISSE®
LATISSE® | Bimatoprost Ophthalmic Solution 0.03%
LATISSE® is a remedy for thinning or inadequate eyelashes and is available only through a doctor’s prescription. The medicated solution is applied to the base of the upper eyelashes once daily with a single-use, disposable applicator.
Users of LATISSE® enjoy the benefits of thicker, fuller, longer eyelashes after 16 weeks of use. Continued use is required because once the medication is stopped, your eyelashes will slowly go back to the way they were.
Side Effects and Safety Information LATISSE® is safe, clinically proven through research and FDA approved.
It’s intended use is for the upper eyelid. Do not use this product on your lower eyelid or lower lashes.
If you use medications for glaucoma or increased intra-ocular pressures, use bimatoprost ophthalmic solution only under a doctor’s supervision.
Using bimatoprost may cause dark pigmentation of the eyelid skin which may be irreversible. This product may also cause increased pigmentation of the iris, or colored part of the eye, which is often permanent.
It is possible for hair growth to occur in other areas of your skin that this medicated solution frequently touches.
The most common side effects are itching and/or redness of one or both eyes. This was reported in approximately 4% of patients. Other less common side effects usually occur on the skin near the eyelashes or in the eyes. These include darkened skin, irritated eyes, dry eyes, or redness of the eyelids.
If you develop the new onset of any eye condition, change in vision, have eye surgery, or notice any type of reaction, especially redness or irritation of the eyes or eyelids, stop bimatoprost use and immediately call the clinic.
