Hi! I’m Cathy.

I’m a Registered Nurse with over 36 years of nursing experience and 21 years specializing in aesthetic injectables.

I graduated from nursing in 1989 and spent many years working at Hamilton Health Sciences as a surgical nurse, hematology/oncology nurse, and in the Intensive Care Unit and Post-Anesthetic Care Unit (PACU). Toward the later years of my hospital career, I also worked in Endoscopy and at the Michael G. DeGroote Pain Clinic experiences that deeply shaped my clinical judgment, precision, and patient-first approach.

I am in excellent standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) and am a proud member of the Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario (RNAO), the Canadian Nurses Association (CNA), and the Canadian Society of Aesthetic Specialty Nurses (CSASN).

While I always had a passion for health, fitness, and beauty, it wasn’t until 2005 when I had the opportunity to work at the Hamilton Plastic Surgery Centre that I truly fell in love with aesthetic nursing. At the time, nurse injectors were few and far between, but I worked hard, embraced every learning opportunity, and I remain incredibly grateful for that pivotal chapter in my career.

In 2008, I took a leap of faith and founded Mezzmerize Medical Aesthetics in Downtown Burlington. What began as a dream has grown into a practice I am deeply proud of, and I truly love what I do every single day.

With over 21 years of injectable experience, I have performed thousands of treatments and have been extensively trained in advanced facial assessment and modern injection techniques. My approach is always rooted in safety, balance, and natural-looking results because less is more.

Education remains a cornerstone of my practice. I continually attend advanced training and international conferences to ensure I’m offering my clients the most current, evidence-based treatments available. This includes attending IMCAS in Paris, France, AMWC in Monaco, and the SWIFT Beauty Symposium in New York with Dr. Arthur Swift and world-renowned anatomist Dr. Sebastian Cotofana. I have also completed numerous advanced cadaver-based anatomy courses in both Vancouver and Toronto, allowing for a deeper, hands-on understanding of facial anatomy and injection safety.

I am also trained in MD Codes™, a structured facial assessment and treatment approach developed by Dr. Mauricio de Maio, a world-renowned plastic surgeon from Brazil. This method focuses on restoring foundation, contour, and harmony to the face, helping avoid an overfilled or unnatural appearance.

My goal is always to create a personalized, nonsurgical treatment plan that enhances your natural beauty while preserving your individuality. I take the time to educate my clients, answer questions, and ensure you feel confident and informed because a well-informed client is a happy client.

Hi! I’m Taylor.

My passion for beauty began at a young age, growing up hearing my mom share stories from her day at the “office.” Today, that inspiration has come full circle. Mezzmerize Medical Aesthetics is proudly a mother–daughter practice, located in the heart of Downtown Burlington.

I joined Mezzmerize in 2017 as a Skin Care Consultant, and over the years my role has evolved as I continued to expand my education, skills, and clinical expertise. I have received extensive training in medical-grade skincare, including ZO Skin Health, AlumierMD, and Universkin®, allowing me to create personalized, results-driven skincare plans for my clients.

I furthered my education at Canadian Beauty College, where I studied facial and skin anatomy, as well as laser and light-based therapies. I have completed advanced training in OxyGeneo® facials, InMode laser technology, and dermaplaning, all of which I incorporate into customized treatment plans.

Driven by my desire to deepen my clinical scope, I went on to become a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) and completed advanced cosmetic injector training through APT Medical Aesthetics in Oakville. As a cosmetic nurse injector, I am known for my gentle approach, attention to detail, and commitment to natural-looking, balanced results.

My treatment philosophy is rooted in skin health, prevention, and aging gracefully. I believe that beautiful skin starts with a strong foundation, long-term care, and education with daily sunscreen use being one of the most important steps in preserving healthy, youthful skin. My goal is always to enhance natural beauty while supporting the skin over time, never over-treating or chasing trends.

Outside of the clinic, I’m a huge animal lover and spend most of my free time with my husband, Jason, our two dogs, Daisy and Charlee, and my tuxedo cat, Louie. I also love to read whenever I can; it’s one of my favourite ways to unwind and reset. Caring for both people and animals has taught me patience, compassion, and attentiveness, qualities I bring into every client interaction.

I am passionate about helping my clients feel confident, informed, and cared for. I take the time to listen, educate, and ensure every client feels comfortable and supported throughout their treatment journey.

Dr. Ronen Avram is the Medical Director at Mezzmerize Medical Aesthetics. He is a board-certified cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgeon practicing in Hamilton and Burlington, Ontario, with a strong focus on cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery, as well as body contouring procedures.

Dr. Avram is one of the most sought-after breast surgeons in Canada, with over 15 years of experience performing complex cosmetic and reconstructive breast procedures. He has contributed to the field through surgical education and academic publishing, and has held leadership roles in both hospital-based and private surgical practice. His extensive expertise and respected reputation within the surgical community have also led him to be frequently called upon by other plastic surgeons for advanced training opportunities and assistance with complex cases.

Dr. Avram is also one of the founders of Appleby Plastic Surgery, where he provides comprehensive surgical care in a modern, state-of-the-art clinical setting.
