Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning is an exfoliating treatment that involves gently scraping the surface of your skin with a surgical scalpel. Dermaplaning treatments at Mezzmerize are performed by licensed professionals.

Our faces are exposed to many harsh toxins, pollutants, irritants, and of course damaging rays from the sun. Over the years this can cause the top layer of our skin to appear dull and flat.

Dermaplaning stimulates cell turnover and clears away those damaged skin cells so skincare products will better penetrate when you apply them, making them that more effective .

You can expect to see brighter-looking skin and elimination of fine villous hair (peach fuzz) after your dermaplaning appointment.

It does NOT make villous hair grow back thicker and darker.

Dermaplaning treatments do not require any downtime and treatments are relaxing and pain free ! Treatments can safely be performed every 3-4 weeks.

Not everyone is a candidate. Clients with active and cystic acne should avoid dermaplaning as it can cause further irritation. Dermaplaning is also contraindicated with hirsutism, a condition of excessive male-pattern hair growth in women.
