Vampire Facial / PRP
PRP can be used for facial rejuvenation as an injectable or in combination with a microneedling device to deliver the growth factors to the dermis of the skin. Platelets carry several growth factors that will increase rebuilding of tissues by stimulating new collagen and blood vessel formation giving the skin smoother and healthier look.
Treatment process
We will apply a topical anesthetic to the treatment area
Platelet-Rich Plasma is prepared by taking a small sample of the patient’s own blood, then separating platelets from Platelet-Poor Plasma (PPP), RBC and GRs via centrifugation. We only need to draw 11 ML
How long does the process take?
The blood draw takes just a couple of minutes, followed immediately by a 10-minute centrifugation. The time involved in the application varies based on which procedure is being performed.
How does the procedure work?
After your skin is thoroughly cleansed your platelets are applied topically to the skin to promote tighter and more youthful skin. The micro-needling system that we use (Dermastamp ®) will allow us to quickly penetrate your platelets into the skin, while also promoting the anti-aging cascade of collagen and elastin production. We can also inject the PRP into areas of concern
Benefits of PRP
PRP helps with hydration, superficial pigmentation, fine lines, large pore size, acne and acne scarring. PRP exfoliates and brightens uneven skin tone, tightens and tones the skin, and improves overall texture!
How many PRP sessions are required?
For optimal results, we recommend a minimum of 3 treatments.
3-6 treatments every 6-8 weeks. Maintenance once every 9-12 months.
Results can be seen within 7 days and improvements in the skin will continue to develop over the next 3 months with each consecutive session.
Minimal downtime 1-2 days . Post care discussed at your consult
An Individual treatment plan will be discussed depending on your needs.
Can a PRP procedure be painful?
Eclipse PRP® is close to a physiologic pH, which means the product is less likely to cause a stinging or burning sensation. There may be some temporary discomfort or possible redness and inflammation at the application site, but quickly resolves.
Is PRP safe?
Since the autologous Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is produced from a patient’s own blood, there is virtually no risk of an allergic reaction or rejection.
